Construction of the Pang Mon Nursery & Primary schools is now completed

Friday, 25th November 2011

We have just been told by the Child's Dream Thailand project team that both the Pang Mon Nursery and Primary schools have now been completed.

The two new buildings look fantastic!

The first of the new buildings houses three classrooms for the 95 nursery children (aged between 3-5 years old). The second, smaller building, was built as an extension of the original facility has two classrooms for the primary students. A separate buidling for 4 toilets has also been erected, greatly improving the hygiene and health standards for the children. Each classroom has also been fitted out with the necessary school furniture.

The prolonged and unusually heavy rainy season put considerable pressure on the budget for this project. The estimated budget for construction was set at $US30,000 but total costs in the end were US$36,000.
